HELP FEED THE HUNGRY CHILDEN

Gladys H. Oberle School had a bake sale, as part of the Share Our Strength Great American Bake Sale, a national campaign that mobilizes Americans to end childhood hunger by holding bake sales in their communities. There were all kinds of treats such as cookies, cupcakes, brownies, Diabetic cookies, Low-Calorie Cookies, etc. In the three days, they raised $200.00! They presented the check to the local homeless hospice, Thurman Brisben.

WHEN: May 26, 27, & 28th. 10am-1pm.

WHERE: Hurkamp Park on Tuesday 11am-1:30pm, and Wal-Mart on Rt. 3 East Ferry Farm on Wed. & Thur. 10am-1pm.

WHO: The students and teachers of Gladys H. Oberle School are joining millions of people across the US who are pledging to be a key ingredient in ending childhood hunger.

WHY: Nationally, more than 12 million children are at risk of hunger. Funds raised through this bake sale will be donated to our local hospice, Thurman Brisben.
