"Preparing for Independent Living in today's World"

This course is geared toured community based learning to facilitate authentic learning experiences and positive community involvement.  Throughout the year students will find themselves engaged in recycling efforts to help raise money for Habitat for Humanity, taking field trips to various community agencies like Westwood Clubhouse and Hughes Nursing Home to work with a variety of individuals in order to make a positive change not only within the community but in the lives of individuals. Students are encouraged to self-monitor and brainstorm new ideas to generate a broad-based community networking system to become well rounded, cultured individuals.
